Movie Magic – The Stony Brook Film Festival
Get ready for the 23rd Annual Stony Brook Film Festival presented by Island Federal Credit Union coming to Staller Center at Stony Brook University, Thursday, July 19 through Saturday, July 28. With stars like Brian Cox (HBO’s Succession, Braveheart) representing the U.S. Premiere of The Etruscan Smile, and so many other faces you’ll recognize, it’s a movie-lovers’ paradise.
Experience the best in new independent features and shorts in the outstanding lineup chosen to screen at the Festival. A film pass good for all films that also includes lots of perks is $90. Single tickets are $12 general admission, $10 seniors, $5 students.
See all films on the big screen in the evening (and earlier on weekends) in Staller Center’s Main Stage Theater at Stony Brook University. Features are preceded by short films in most time slots.
The Stony Brook Film Festival hosts directors, actors, producers and crew who come to the Festival from all over the world. Filmmakers participate in question and answer sessions after screenings and meet and mingle. You’ll rate films in competition by turning in a ballot after screenings. See which films win accolades by buying tickets to the Closing Night Awards Reception held in the Paul W. Zuccaire Gallery (on the first floor of Staller Center) for the maximum film festival experience.
