C’est Cheese shared some bleak news on Facebook Wednesday morning.
The team at the artisanal cheese joint announced they are closing their doors permanently, effective Sunday, July 12 at 6 p.m.
“The many friendships that have been made will always be cherished,” reads the post. “We are thankful for all the stories written between these walls and the lives connected.”
The tavern, which also served wines and craft beers, was founded nine years ago.
Owner Joseph Ciardullo went on to grow a strong presence in downtown Port Jefferson at 216B Main Street.
His work led them to become American Cheese Society Certified Cheese Professionals, a prestigious feat in the cheese world.
Read more about that below.
As far as gift cards go, Ciardullo is encouraging patrons to use them by this upcoming weekend.
