The Village of Port Jefferson’s winter farmers market will be open for business tomorrow Sunday, March 22.
Despite Gov. Andrew Cuomo’s state shutdown, he deemed farmers markets as essential businesses, which allows them to remain open.
Tomorrow’s event will be outside the Port Jefferson Village Center and runs from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m.
“Our vendors will be safely distanced from each other and all will be following the required guidelines of the Department of Health, wearing gloves and using hand sanitizer,” reads a statement from farmers market organizer. “Get out and enjoy some fresh air, while supporting our local economy!”
