Rocky Point’s Maui Chop House is rallying the Long Island community together to help support a Port Jefferson Station family undergoing a trying time.
Husband and wife, Rob and Amy Galinski, have a little daughter, Hannah, who has been diagnosed with cancer for the third time in her life. She is 4.
As the medical bills pile high, longtime friend, John Louis, co-owner of Maui Chop House, helped organize a fundraising event at his restaurant on Friday, Feb. 21.
“She is such an upbeat kid,” said Louis. “We want to help out any way we can.”
Those who frequent the Chop House, may recognize Rob already, he bartends on Saturdays.
To support the family, there will be a suggested donation of $20 at the door for the HannahStrong Fundraiser, which begins at 7 p.m.
There will also be raffles, a 50-50, and vendors selling products, with all the proceeds benefitting the family.
“Please join us to help raise money for the Galinski family to make sure we take good care of them all through this extremely difficult time,” Louis wrote on Facebook.
The Maui Chop House is located at 49 Route 25A.
