Art lovers, it’s time to grab your hoodies and leisurely stroll down Port Jefferson’s downtown.
For the next two weeks, the area will be hosting its first annual Port Jeff Fall Art Walk.
The self-guided tour runs from Oct. 7 to Oct. 20, where 30-plus businesses are displaying paintings and drawings in their stores.
The event is sponsored by the Port Jefferson Chamber of Commerce and the Greater Port Jefferson-Northern Brookhaven Arts Council.
The organizers believe this is a great win-win for everyone.
“We wanted to spotlight the talent of our local artists while increasing our foot traffic to our businesses during the offseason,” said Barbara Ransome, the chamber’s director of operations.
For those interested in purchasing the artwork, make sure to ask the store’s owner. Scroll down to see the art walk’s map.
