Homesense will be hosting a grand opening at Brooktown Plaza in Stony Brook this week, an employee confirmed to GreaterPortJeff on Monday.

The off-price home furnishing retailer is launching in the former Waldbaum’s location at 2162-A Nesconset Highway on Thursday, June 27, at 8 a.m.

The Waldbaum’s store was subdivided into three stores with Homesense taking 27,250-square-foot, Planet Fitness (which will open later this year) occupying 18,000 square feet, while leaving 12,000 square feet for leasing, according to a Newsday report.

Homesense, which is owned by TJX Companies, will be joining sister stores Marshalls and HomeGoods in the shopping center.

After its grand opening, Homesense will be open Monday through Saturday from 9:30 a.m. to 9:30 p.m., and Sunday 10 a.m. to 8 p.m.
