Great Days |

Eat well, live well. That’s the motto for the Port Jeff Chamber’s 1oth annual Health and Wellness Fest, which is this Saturday, May 18, at Port Jefferson High School.

The purpose of the Port Jeff Health & Wellness Fest is to promote good health to all in the local areas of Port Jefferson, reads a statement by the chamber.

The free event runs from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m., and plays host to a series of family-fun activities.

This is also a place to try some free healthy food all day.

“Since we promote ‘Eat Well, Live Well,’ our vendors will be highlighting healthy eating, and that includes St. Charles Hospital’s chef and staff providing free healthy breakfast, lunch and dessert,” reads the chamber website.

This year’s festival will feature more entertainment, according to the chamber, as well as more animal-related vendors. Those vendors will be showing off and educating the public about therapy dogs, companion animals, and SCPD Canines.

There are also free health screenings, and children’s activities.

The chamber is once again partnering with the Port Jefferson Royal Educational Foundation for a 2-mile Power of one Family Fun Run. The race begins at 8:30 a.m. in the Village Center and finishes at the fest.
