The third annual Winter Long Island Restaurant Week has commenced.

From Sunday, Jan. 27, to Sunday, Feb.3, participating restaurants (listed below) are offering a three-course dinner prix fixe meal for $29.95. The promotion runs every night except for Saturday, where the deal is offered until 7 p.m.

With over 120 restaurants participating, the event’s organizers say the program helps during a slow time of year for eateries.

“With a sluggish economy and the onset of winter – as well as such a great response to Fall restaurant week from both diners and restaurateurs – we decided to do something about ‘Cabin Fever,'” said Steve Haweeli, president of Long Island Restaurant & Marketing Hospitality Group.

And it continues to grow every year.

“With more than 2.8 million residents and 1,000 restaurants with varied cuisines, concepts and price points, it is no wonder why we started the highly anticipated Long Island Restaurant Week which continues to flourish,” said Haweeli.
