Santa Claus is coming back to town. On Saturday, Nov. 24, the Greater Port Jeff Chamber of Commerce will be hosting its annual Santa Parade, with the old elf himself leading the march.

Here is a video from last year’s event. Scroll down for details.

The festivities begin at 11:30 a.m. when Santa, on a horse-drawn carriage, heads down Main Street from the Long Island train station.

He will then turn left onto West Broadway and finish at the “Drowned-Meadow Cottage,” on the corner of Barnum Avenue and West Broadway.

The cottage, which will open as Santa’s Workshop during the holiday season, will be a spot where Santa will greet children. On the Saturday of the parade, he will be there from noon to 4 p.m. (more dates and times below.)

The parade isn’t the only holiday activity happening on Nov. 24.

From 9 a.m. to 5 p.m., the Greater Port Jeff Chamber of Commerce will be hosting its third annual Holiday Shopping Crawl.

“With 28 participating businesses giving offers out to include, generous percentages off products and even free gifts,”  said Barbara Ransome, the chamber’s director of operations.
