The wait is almost over, the new Port Jeff Station Chipotle Mexican Grill is eyeing an opening next month.

As of now, the goal is to open the company’s newest Long Island location in the Port Plaza shopping center on Wednesday, July 11, according to Chipotle.

“Chipotle is always looking to open restaurants in areas new to Chipotle, like Port Jefferson, where they can make it easier for residents to enjoy flavorful, customizable food that’s made with only real, fresh ingredients,” read a statement.

The nearest location for a Chipotle Mexican Grill, which is headquartered in Denver, Co., is currently in Selden on Route 25/Middle Country Road, near County Road 83.

One of Chipotle’s recent openings in Brookhaven Town was its new Patchogue location, which opened its doors in December

There are well over 2,000 Chipotle locations across the U.S., with more than two dozen on Long Island.
