Lombardi’s on the Sound in Port Jefferson is changing hands.

And with that comes a name change.

The venue, acquired by The Crest Group, LLC, will be called The Waterview at Port Jefferson Country Club, according to a press announcement issued Thursday.

The Crest Group also owns Danfords Hotel, Marina & Spa, and the company is in the process if acquiring the former Thatch Cottage in Centerport with plans to open The Centerport Mansion at the Route 25A location.

The new Waterview venue will open in April.

“Hospitality is defined as the friendly and generous reception and entertainment of guests and visitors,” the company’s managing partner, Enrico Scarda, said in a statement. “This is the mission statement for the Hospitality Division of The Crest Group, LLC. Our guests entrust us with some of the most important events in their lives and our job is to make their visions become reality.”

The grand ballroom at The Waterview will set up to 400 guests. There’s also more intimate rooms for functions, being called the Harborview or Soundview rooms, which seat up to 150 guest each.

“Every room has the feel of a Hamptons Estate with both indoor and outdoor seating,” the announcement reads.

The restaurant will be renovated and reopened as The Cliffside, which will also feature indoor and outdoor seating and live music during the warmer months.

“We are thrilled to welcome The Waterview into our family and hope to welcome you soon,” said Scarda.
